Many of us in Rosscarbery are keen runners with loads of Half marathons, Full marathons and Adventure races under our belts. We are thrilled to announce, what we are sure will be a great race, set in Rosscarbery and surrounding areas. A race that starts below the village , crossing the estuary at low tide (via a pontoon – don’t worry!), up over the headland track to Ownahincha, along the sands of The Long Strand, through Castlefreke woods and Castle Grounds, trail run (by kind permission of Coillte) up to the Cross and around Kilkern Lake and back via the Warren ! Surf, Turn’n Tar!
Two distances 10K and Half Marathon, this chip-timed event offers a unique opportunity to run in one of the most beautiful parts of Ireland on Road, Beach, Forest and Trails!
